Expert says science more effective than economy in Armenia![]() October 26, 2012 - 21:27 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Science outruns Armenia’s economic sector by the level of effectiveness, CEO of the National Foundation of Science and Advanced Technologies (NFSAT) said. As Harutyun Karapetyan told a news conference, the state budgetary funds allocated to the field of education, may be used for implemetaion of more projects. Throughout the 15 years of its existence, NFSAT has implemented programs, worth of USD 5 mln, with USD 4.5 mln granted by U.S. Civilian Research and Development Foundation. NFSAT also cooperates with the state sector. ![]() ![]() As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed.
