Iran power generation capacity to reach 70,000 MW - ministerOctober 29, 2012 - 16:37 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Iranian Energy Minister Majid Namjou said that the country's power generation capacity will reach 70,000 megawatts after the launch of Gatvand and Siah Bisheh power plants by the end of the current Iranian year, which started March 20, Fars news agency reported. "Capacity of the country's (Iran's) power plants will reach 70,000 megawatts," Namjou said at the closing ceremony of the 12th International Iran Power Industry Exhibition in Tehran on Sunday, Oct 28 night. He noted that the power generation capacity of Iranian power plants exceeds 67,000 megawatts at present. The 12th International Iranian Electricity Exhibition was held from October 25 to 28 in Tehran.
