TORCH PROCESSION TO MEMORIAL OF ARMENIAN GENOCIDE VICTIMS IN YEREVAN

PanARMENIAN.Net - Today 8:30 local time a torch procession will move from the Republic Square to the Memorial to Victims of the Armenian Genocide in Yerevan. As PanARMENIAN.Net correspondent got to know, all student councils, as well as political organizations of the country have joined the procession that ha been traditionally organized by ARF Dashnaktsutyun for 5 years. Yerevan Administration has also assisted to the holding of the event. Over 5 thousand people will take part in the torch procession and they will carry 1500 torches. However, the opportunity for the number of the participants to come up to 10 thousand is not ruled out. Foreign singers are invited to sing Adana song by Ara Gevorgian at the Memorial to Genocide Victims in Tsitsernakaberd. Specifically, among them is American singer and the author of the lyrics Daniel Dacker, German singer Kay Augagen, Bulgarian opera singer, tenor Tsventan Tsvetkov, renowned Finnish crooner Inka and Moldavian Vitali Dani.
