PanARMENIAN.Net - None of the sects existing in the world is of Armenian origin, Priest Ter Shmavon Ghevondyan said.

“None of the sects has broken away from the Armenian Apostolic Church. Though a number of sects operate in RA, they don’t criticize one another due to a common financial source,” he told a news conference, adding that sects are registered as religious organizations in Armenia.

Asked as to the steps the church takes to cut the number of the sects, Priest Ter Shmavon Ghevondyan linked the problem to the small number of clergymen.
