ARMENIAN FM MET FRENCH PARLIAMENTARIANSApril 29, 2005 - 13:57 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian met with President of the Council General of Bouches-du-Rhone Jean-Noel Guérini, parliament deputies Christophe Maesse and Richard Mallié as well as Europarliament member Marie-Arlette Carlotti, RA Foreign Ministry's press service reported. During the meeting Vardan Oskanian thanked the French parliamentarians for support rendered to Armenia. Specifically he pointed out to the programs of the Bouches-du-Rhone implemented in various regions of RA. The interlocutors discussed the developments in the South Caucasus, opportunities offered by Wider Europe: New Neighbors EU program and the Armenia-Turkey relations. At request of the guests Vardan Oskanian acquainted them with the Karabakh conflict settlement process. To note, within the frames of the visit the French delegation will meet with the Minister of Health, Minister of Labor and Social Issues and visit the towns of Gyumri and Echmiadzin. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
