Expert slams state control over waste recycling as unsatisfactory

PanARMENIAN.Net - The head of YSU Center for Sustainable Development slammed the state control over industrial companies’ waste recycling as unsatisfactory.

As Ruben Movsesyan stated at a round table discussion on anthropogenic waste in mining industry, despite the law obligating the companies to minimize environmental impact of the waste, state control over the process is among the burning issues on agenda.

Movsesyan further urged for correct utilization of the waste to render it “insoluble and immovable” to prevent its harmful impact on the environment.
