PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan said that his assessment of RA - Council of Europe relations are based on his observations as part of Armenia’s delegation to Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).

He further hailed the progress recorded in Armenia-EU ties, with expansion of cooperation areas reported.

Dwelling on involvement of Belarus in Council of Europe institutions, deputy minister noted dialogue as the sole solution to the existing problems.

In the framework of his November visit to Minsk, Kocharyan expressed Armenia’s readiness to promote interests of Belarus once Yerevan takes over CoE Committee of Ministers chairmanship.

“Championship doesn’t suggest that Armenia will be solely responsible for the decision making. We are well aware of the way European institutions are operating. We will try to contribute to promotion of Minsk’s interests and involvement,” Shavarsh Kocharyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.
