Russia to urge Middle East Quartet meeting over Israeli-Palestinian conflict

PanARMENIAN.Net - During a meeting with US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on the sidelines of Cambodia-hosted Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) summit, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will stress the necessity of calling Middle East Quartet over Israeli-Palestinian conflict in Gaza Strip, The Voice of Russia reported citing Kommersant daily.

The meeting had been scheduled for late September during the UN General Assembly in New York, but the United States had blocked it.

Earlier, Lavrov traveled to Cambodia to represent Russia at ASEAN summit.
