Dwelling on the political consultations between the parties, Richard Giragosian noted them a common occurrence ahead of presidential elections, deeming the ongoing processes as a mere conflict between former coalition forces. “Armenia’s current oligarchic system undermines the statehood, the economy and the government,” the expert said, stressing the need to solve the problem. As for the second president’s recent interview, he said, “Unfortunately, the oligarchy gained a stronger ground during Robert Kocharian’s term in office.” ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
