Armenia ready to hold fair presidential polls - parliament vice-speaker

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia’s political leadership stands ready to hold fair and transparent presidential elections, National Assembly vice-speaker said.

During a meeting with U.S. envoy to Armenia John Heffern and Political Officer at the U.S. Embassy Christopher Anderson, Hermine Naghdalyan highly assessed the deepening of interparliamentary relations and cooperation.

Inter-party ties, May 6 parliamentary elections in Armenia, the upcoming presidential race and proposals regarding RA electoral code reforms were also discussed.

Parliament’s deputy speaker further congratulated Ambassador Heffern on U.S. President Barack Obama’s re-election, parliamentary press service reported.
