As Arman Melikyan told a November 21 news conference, many were concerned over a probability of a new war which would pose a serious threat to Azerbaijan as well. “In the next 5 years, Azerbaijan will increase its oil income to further solve the issue to fit its interests,” Melikyan said. “Presidential elections in the U.S. will be followed by deepening disintegration worldwide, with Armenia in the center of projected clashes. Turkey, though partially stable, may later intensify its involvement,” the former official said.
