CIS meeting on book publishing opens in Yerevan

PanARMENIAN.Net - Yerevan hosted the opening of CIS Interstate Council meeting on cooperation in the fields of periodical press, book publishing and distribution and polygraphic industry.

Representatives from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Moldova and Russia will attend the meeting, with only participants from Azerbaijan and Tajikistan to miss the event.

Armenian deputy minister of culture stressed the need for Yerevan to assume the chairmanship of the council.

“Cooperation in the fields of book publishing and distribution has recently deepened, with annual joint award ceremonies organized,” Artur Poghosyan said.
