YURI MERZLYAKOV HOPES FOR CONSTRUCTIVE DEVELOPMENT OF KARABAKH SETTLEMENT

PanARMENIAN.Net - OSCE Minsk Group Russian Co-Chair Yuri Merzlyakov is content with the visit he paid to Baku last week. In his words, the "impressions are good and the talks with the Azeri FM were rather constructive. "Anyway we have outlined the terms of the meeting of the Armenian and Azerbaijani FMs with the participation of the OSCE MG Co-Chairs. At the moments the prospects are rather distinct", Yuri Merzlyakov said. He also highlighted the meeting with President Ilham Aliyev initiated by the Azeri party. "Our latest visit to Baku was not held within the frames of mediators' regional visits. However we are grateful to Elmar Mamedyarov for finding time to meet with the Co-Chairs. We had an interesting meeting, which gives hope for constructive development of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement", Yuri Merzlyakov noted.
