Armenian presidential election day to be announced soon

PanARMENIAN.Net - Chief of Armenia’s Central Election Commission (CEC) will announce 2013 presidential election day in the days to come, spokesperson for the CEC said.

As Hermine Harutyunyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, the election day is, as a rule, set 50 days prior to the expiration of the incumbent president’s term of office.

Dwelling on Heritage party’s proposal on making amendments to RA electoral code, parliament speaker Hovik Abrahamyan noted that the presidential polls will apparently be set for February 18, 2013, deeming the offer as inappropriate.
