DEUTSCEWELLE: RUSSIA SET HARD CHOICE TO ARMENIA

PanARMENIAN.Net - Russia's policy in the South Caucasus is collapsing, reported Deutscewelle. Russia was quite able to do what the US and some European countries do for the region. As they say, «nature abhors vacuum.» Russia has in fact created an illusion over regional conflict settlement questions and did not really promote forming ties. The double standards and constant economic blackmailing by Russia formed the situation available. Russia is losing strategic and economic importance for South Caucasian countries. Other countries occupy its place. Even Armenia being loyal to Russia is on the verge of a choice - either joining the economic structure of the region, or a rather hard existence at the conditions of the current policy. Only having understood that one has to speak to everyone as equal, Russia can return if not the previous influence, then at least respect of the neighbors, which will naturally result in development of relations. It is inevitable in the future, the matter is how soon that future will come and what losses the parties will suffer, reported Deutscewelle.
