Expert: opposition may back Heritage leader unless Tsarukyan nominatedDecember 11, 2012 - 16:19 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia’s opposition forces may unite around Heritage party leader Raffi Hovannissian in case Prosperous Armenia head Gagik Tsarukyan resolves against entering the presidential race, political expert said. “Armenian political forces have reached consensus on national security issues,” Sergey Minasyan said, ruling out any difference between Prosperous Armenia leader Gagik Tsarulyan, current president Serzh Sargsyan, and Raffi Hovannissian with regard to these issues. The expert further noted that leader of Armenian National Congress (ANC) opposition bloc is looking forward to Tsarukyan’s decision on presidency to announce his own stance, with Levon Ter-Petrossian’s any decision likely to cause disbandment of ANC.
