Releasing in summer 2016 and funded by Rovio Entertainment, it will feature the talents of Despicable Me producer John Cohen and former Marvel Studios chairman David Maisel as executive producer. Angry Birds has been downloaded more than one billion times across all platforms since its debut in 2009.
