ARMENIAN AND TURKISH MOUNTAINEERS TO CLIMB ARAGATS

PanARMENIAN.Net - Today mountaineers form Armenia, Turkey and Iran will the climb the highest Armenian Mountain of

Aragats (4090m). 7 Armenian, 1 Iranian and 4 Turkish mountaineers will launch the expedition. For the first time in history Armenian and Turkish mountaineers will conquer a mountain peak together. The participation of the Turkish mountaineers was permitted by the Turkish Foreign Ministry and the Federation of Mountaineers. To note, during the recent several years the Armenian mountaineers have offered the Turkish authorities to climb Ararat together with the Turkish mountaineers but were refused every time, Mediamax agency reported.
