 Role of NGOs in women's rights protection essential for Armenia December 17, 2012 - 17:34 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian delegation held a discussion on “The role of national human rights institutions and NGOs in protection of women’s rights” organized in the framework of international workshop on “Enhancing cooperation between United Nations and regional human rights mechanisms” at the United Nations Office in Geneva. In his opening speech, the representative of Armenia highlighted the role of NGOs and national institutions in protection of women’s rights, stressing the need of cooperation with UN regional mechanisms. The seminar brought together representatives of UN member states, regional institutions, NGOs and national human rights institutions.
