Traffic at Upper Lars checkpoint resumes

PanARMENIAN.Net - The traffic snarled over the heavy snowfall at Upper Lars checkpoint at the Russian-Georgian border has resumed, according to Emergency Situations Ministry of North Ossetia.

Transportation on the highway linking Vladikavkaz to Tbilisi was banned on December 24 evening due to unfavorable weather conditions.

A decision was taken to resume the transportation in the section linking “city of Vladikavkaz to Lars settlement Dec 26 due to the normalization of the situation in Georgia and reduction of the threat of an accident.
