  First woman hopeful joins Armenia’s presidential race December 29, 2012 - 15:33 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The first woman hopeful has joined Armenia’s presidential race. As the Central Election Committee spokesperson Hermine Harutyunyan told PanARMENIAN.Net the head of National Press Club Narine Mkrtchyan has already submitted her documents to enter the race. Current list of presidential hopefuls includes Serzh Sargsyan, Paruyr Hayrikyan, Vardan Sedrakyan, Mher Hayrapetyan, Aram Haruyunyan and Andrias Ghuksyan. The deadline for presidential race applications is set for January 4, with election campaigns to launch January 21. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
