Heritage leader’s struggle not against ex-PM, party rep. says

PanARMENIAN.Net - Heritage leader Raffi Hovannissian’s struggle is not aimed against Freedom party leader, former prime minister of Armenia Hrant Bagratyan, party representative said.

Dwelling on the ex-prime minister’s chances at the upcoming presidential elections, Stepan Safaryan noted that both Mr Bagratyan and Mr Hovannissian represent the opposition, refusing to compare their campaigns.

“Freedom party leader may perhaps benefit the most from garnering the votes of the Armenian National Congress opposition bloc’s electorate during its dissolution. Presently, he is likely to secure the backing of some voters advocating liberal ideas,” Heritage representative said.
