TNS opinion names Heritage leader incumbent president’s main rivalJanuary 25, 2013 - 20:03 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - TNS opinion presented the results of the ‘Political landscape in Armenia ahead of presidential elections” public opinion poll, describing presidential candidate Raffi Hovannissian as the current leader Serzh Sargsyan’s main rival. “Mr Hovannissian would garner 20,8% of valid votes, if the polls were scheduled for the last week, with National Self-Determination Union party president Paruyr Hayrikyan and former prime minister Hrant Bagratyan gaining about 5% votes each. These are truly reliable data. 69% of the respondents have decided to go to the polls, which is quite inspiring,” Director for Methods and Statistics at TNS opinion in Brussels said. The poll was conducted by TNS opinion, jointly with IPSC, with 1.607 interviews held in Armenia’s 10 provinces and 12 administrative districts of Yerevan. The survey was ordered by European Friends of Armenia (EuFoA) organization to foster discussions ahead of the elections.
