White House says Holocaust Day ‘time for action’

PanARMENIAN.Net - International Holocaust Remembrance Day is not just a day for mourning and reflection, but also "the time for action," the White House said in a statement Monday, Jan 28, according to The Jerusalem Post.

In a press statement, the White House stated: "On this day, we recall the courage, spirit, and determination of those who heroically resisted the Nazis, exemplifying the very best of humanity."

"The United States, along with the international community, resolves to stand in the way of any tyrant or dictator who commits crimes against humanity, and stay true to the principle of 'Never Again,'” the White House added.

U.S. President Barack Obama's administration "honors the memories of the 6 million Jews and millions of other innocent victims whose lives were tragically taken during the Holocaust over sixty years ago," the statement read.
