Armenian Communist Party not to back any presidential candidate

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Communist Party announced a decision neither to nominate a presidential candidate, nor back any of the hopefuls, given the current pre-election period.

“One of the candidates expresses readiness to leave the race, another goes on strike, while the rest “conduct election campaigns,” party leader said.

Ruben Tovmasyan further noted it senseless to nominate a candidate due to incumbent president’s privileges, adding that the situation will remain unchanged following the Feb 19 polls.
