“Somebody Up There Likes Me” indie comedy trailer released

PanARMENIAN.Net - Nick Offerman exhibits hints of his Parks and Recreation character, Ron Swanson, in the new trailer for indie comedy Somebody Up There Likes Me, The Hollywood Reporter said.

The film was produced by Offerman and directed by Bob Byington. The offbeat sensibility in the trailer suits a plot that's described, simply, as a "comedy about a man [Offerman], his best friend (Keith Poulson), and the woman they both adore (Jess Weixler, Teeth) watching their lives fly by," according to the synopsis.

Somebody also features his wife, Megan Mullally, who has starred in several episodes of Parks and Rec as Swanson's ex-wife.

The film made its debut at SXSW in 2012, was awarded the Special Jury Prize at the Locarno Film Festival and was screened at the Tribeca Film Festival. It will hit select theaters on March 8.
