In January 2013, 2.9% inflation was reported in Armenia’s consumer market. Prices for foodstuff (including alcoholic beverages and cigarettes) increased by 4.9%, non-foods’ prices decreased by 0,2%, with 0,8% growth in tariffs for services posted. Mr Martirosyan further noted that consumer prices increased by 2,2-3,5% in January 2013 as compared to December 2012 in all Armenian cities under study, while the highest index was registered in Vagharshapat.
