NSC secretary, CoE rep. discuss cooperation![]() February 4, 2013 - 19:20 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - National Security Council secretary Arthur Baghdasaryan met Feb 4 with the newly-appointed representative of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe in Armenia Oleksandr Pavliuk. NSC secretary congratulated the official on the appointment, voicing confidence for the cooperation between Armenia and Council of Europe to continue deepening. He further stressed the importance of closer partnership with representative of CoE Secretary General during Armenia’s chairmanship of CoE Committee of Ministers. Mr Pavliu, in turn, said that Armenia’s chairmanship of CoE Committee of Ministers will enable to deepen the cooperation between Yerevan and Strasburg. He pledged to take best efforts to bring the priorities of 2012-2014 program into fruition. Cooperation prospects and priorities were further discussed. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution. President of the Armenian parliament Alen Simonyan met with the Speaker of the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova. Partner news |
