N. MAMEDOV: SOME POSITIONS OF AZERBAIJAN AND ARMENIA COINCIDE

PanARMENIAN.Net - "If the negotiations go on and if the Presidents meet, so there is hope for a positive outcome of the process. Some positions of Azerbaijan and Armenia are analogous. However they differ on many other issues", head of the department for foreign relations of the Azerbaijani President administration Novruz Mamedov stated when commenting on the current stage of the negotiations, 525-th newspaper reports. In his opinion, despite all the hardships the negotiations should continue though no considerable progress has been achieved yet. As for the meeting of the Presidents in Kazan, N. Mamedov said that the talks are going on within the Prague process framework. "All the proposals imply stepwise settlement of the conflict. The negotiation process is directed to the liberation of the seized Azeri territories and determination of Nagorno Karabakh's status", he said adding that the parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan and referendum in Armenia will not impact the Karabakh settlement process.
