CIA carrying out drone strikes against Yemeni al-Qaeda![]() February 6, 2013 - 12:33 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The CIA is carrying out lethal drone strikes against al Qaida militants inside Yemen from a remote base in Saudi Arabia, including one that killed US-born Anwar al-Awlaki, Belfast Telegraph reported. Any operation by US military or intelligence officials inside Saudi Arabia is politically and religiously sensitive. Al Qaida and other militant groups have used the Gulf kingdom's close working relationship with US counter terrorism officials to stir up internal dissent against the Saudi regime. The location of the Saudi base was revealed by The New York Times online. The Associated Press first reported the construction of the base in June 2011 but withheld the exact location at the request of senior administration officials. Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
