Expert: unification of two presidential candidates possible![]() February 7, 2013 - 11:52 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian political expert Levon Shirinyan deems unification of presidential candidates Raffi Hovannisian and Hrant Bagratyan possible. “After all they are not enemies. Certainly, the ruling authorities would stand against their unification. The move will be aimed at drawing Armenia out of crisis,” the expert told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter. Candidate Hovannisian earlier noted having met Hrant Bagratyan. “We discussed Armenia’s future and our joint efforts to bring victory to Armenian people,” the candidate said. Mr Shirinyan further noted the unification of the two presidential hopefuls as quite interesting in the face of their viewpoints. He further deemed the two candidates’ advancement possible due to a common ideological platform. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
