As a PanARMENIAN.Net correspondent reported from the scene, by staring the strike, Harutyunyan urges all the hopefuls to withdraw their nominations from electoral lists, by leaving incumbent Serzh Sargsyan as the only candidate. As Harutyunyan stressed, those who’re left in the list won’t have anything to say after the February 18 polls. As he noted, his own withdrawal statement will be submitted to the CEC chair upon completion of a strike. Another candidate, Andreas Ghukasyan has been on a hunger strike for 18 days. He demanded CEC recognize incumbent president’s registration as a candidate invalid.
