Martin Scorsese to exec. produce Luc Besson’s all-star "Malavita"![]() February 9, 2013 - 10:19 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Martin Scorsese has been named an executive producer on EuropaCorp and Relativity Media's mob comedy "Malavita," TheWrap said. The Academy Award-winning filmmaker offered creative consultation to writer and director Luc Besson before and during production. Now that his role has been formalized, Scorsese will continue to do so throughout the post-production process. Starring Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer, Tommy Lee Jones, Dianna Agron and John D'Leo, the adaptation of Tonino Benacquista's book "Badfellas" follows the Manzoni crime family's efforts to fit in after relocated to France under the witness protection program. Scorsese shares executive-producing credit with Relativity Media president Tucker Tooley, while EuropaCorp's Virginie Besson-Silla and Relativity's Ryan Kavanaugh are producing.
