RUPEL: POSITIONS OF PARTIES BECOMING CLOSER IN KARABAKH ISSUE EVIDENT

PanARMENIAN.Net - «Positions of parties becoming closer in settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict is evident,» Dimitrij Rupel stated at a news conference in Yerevan today. «In Baku I met with representatives of NGOs, parties, all those, who can provide information over the situation in the conflict zone to me,» he stated. In his words, he is not for confrontation and works to facilitate the peace process. When asked to comment over the militant statements that have become more and more frequent in Azerbaijan, D. Rupel noted, «What you heard is different from what I did. During my conversations I saw Azerbaijan seeking after peaceful settlement of the conflict in the same way as Armenia.» «We are here to peacefully solve the problem and if a militant statement appears on my table, I will do my best to make those, who think that way, change their mind,» the OSCE Chairman-in-Office added.
