Expert: Georgian Armenians should stay away from political processes![]() February 13, 2013 - 15:51 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The clashes between the opposition and the ruling authorities have brought about tensions in Georgia, an expert on Georgian affairs said. Dwelling on the political situation in Georgia, Johnny Melikyan said Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili’s decision to release political prisoners detained during Mikheil Saakashvili’s term in office escalated tensions in the country. The expert further voiced skepticism over the “Georgian dream” to force Saakashvili to give up power, deeming it hard to make forecasts. Mr Melikyan stressed the need for Georgia’s Armenian community not to get involved in the political processes. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
