CUSTOMS PROCEDURE MAXIMALLY SIMPLIFIED FOR ARMENIAN AND RUSSIAN BUSINESSMENFebruary 12, 2003 - 18:46 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Yerevan intends to form a maximally favorable regime for Russian and Armenian businessmen, who continuously deal with the customs of Russia and Armenia. Armenian customs committee head Armen Avetisian stated after signing two agreements between the customs committees of Russia and Armenia yesterday. In his words, almost 200 Russian and Armenian companies will make use of the maximally favorable customs regime. Moreover, Avetisian noted, Russia and Armenia "have intensified the returning of cultural values, which had been illegally taken out of the country." It is conditioned by the protocol "On struggle against illegal admittance and taking out of cultural values," signed by chairman of the state customs committee of Russia and head of the Armenian Customs committee in Yerevan yesterday. In the words of Russian committee head Mikhail Vanin, "the signed documents let return the illegally removed cultural values quicker."![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
