  Raffi Hovannisian: Armenian people the only winners in polls  February 19, 2013 - 00:48 AMTPanARMENIAN.Net - A presidential candidate, Heritage party leader Raffi Hovannisian believes Armenian people to be the only winners in current elections. “Armenian people have finally become a nation, and incumbent Serzh Sargsyan is the first president in the history of independent Armenia who must recognize the people’s victory,” he said. As Hovannisian noted, Sargsyan seems like a person capable of accepting that Armenia deserves a de jure president. According to Heritage leader, the February 18 elections weren’t free or fair; however he promised a difference situation following his own presidency. “I’ll transfer power to a new generation,” he stressed. According to preliminary count, incumbent president Serzh Sargsyan is leading the vote. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution. President of the Armenian parliament Alen Simonyan met with the Speaker of the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova.
