Candidate Raffi Hovannisian requests police for protection of his residenceFebruary 19, 2013 - 15:08 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - A candidate in Armenia’s presidential elections, Heritage party leader bRaffi Hovannisian requested the Police chief for protection of his residence on Tuesday, February 19. On the same day, a police unit was tasked with a 24-hour protection of the candidate's residence. According to data released by the Central Election Commission (CEC), Hovannisian got 539 674 (36,74%) votes at presidential polls; incumbent president Serzh Sargsyan garnered 861 378 (58,64%) votes.
