Former candidate slams international observers’ assessments

PanARMENIAN.Net - Former presidential candidate of Armenia Andrias Ghukasyan has called on the citizens not to get disappointed with international observers’ assessments.

“I share the opinion of civil society representatives, who disagree with the international observers’ assessments. I admire the young activists’ brave actions on Feb 19.

Armenian elections can’t be characterized by manifestation of respect for human rights, as they are marred by mass voting bribery and exertion of pressure on people.

I urge human rights activists not to get disappointed with international observers’ assessments and hold commitment to democratic values. International observers smoothed a path to oligarchy. However, I am certain that it can’t foil public struggle for democracy,” the statement reads.
