Armenian ministry links swine flue deaths to late medical aid

PanARMENIAN.Net - According to Haykakan Zhamanak daily, 4 swine flu deaths have been reported in Armenia. Earlier the paper reported two other death cases, caused by swine flue. However, pneumonia was later reported as the cause of the death, perhaps accompanied by H1N1 virus.

In conversation with a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, healthcare ministry spokesman Anahit Haytayan said, 2 of the death cases were conditioned by delay in medical assistance, with no information provided as to other four cases.

Meanwhile, a monitoring has revealed that cases of acute respiratory infections decreased in 2013, as compared with 2012.
