SCR posts 5,1% passenger traffic growth in January

PanARMENIAN.Net - In January 2013 the passenger traffic of South Caucasus Railway CJSC increased by 5.1% as compared to the same period of 2012. According to statistics in the first month of 2013, SCR transported 35.3 thousand passengers against 33.6 thousand in January 2012.

In international traffic SCR transported 2.3 thousand passengers, growing by 27.8% in January 2012, with 33 thousand passengers transported in the suburban traffic (growing by 3.8%). Passenger traffic increased by 78.6% in January 2013 to total 3700.1 thousand passenger-km. SCR is committed to the policy of gradually improving the quality of passenger service, the level of comfort in trains of local and international communication. Accordingly, the railway upgrades the rolling stock, the list of services expands, train speed increases, the company’ press service reported.
