KOCHARIAN MET WITH FINNISH PRESIDENT

PanARMENIAN.Net - Today Armenian President Robert Kocharian met with Finnish leader Tarja Halonen, reported the Press Service of the Armenian President. The parties discussed matters of Armenian-Finnish bilateral relations, EU-Armenia cooperation, and regional issues. They exchanged views over urgent international problems. T. Halonen appreciated Armenia's participation in EU Wider Europe: New Neighbors program. Finland pays much attention to promotion of relations with South Caucasian states in its foreign policy, especially that Finland will assume EU presidency next year, Tarja Halonen stated. After a tete-a-tete meeting wide composition Armenian-Finnish talks were held. During these priority directions of economic cooperation and opportunities of its activation were discussed.
