GREEK SPEAKER TO VISIT ARMENIA IN NOVEMBER

PanARMENIAN.Net - September 28 Chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia Artur Baghdassaryan met with Greek Ambassador to Armenia Antonios Vlavianos, who is completing his diplomatic mission in Armenia, reported the Armenian Parliament Press Service. A. Baghdassaryan noted the large contribution of Antonios Vlavianos to promotion of interstate and interparliamentary relations between Armenia and Greece and wished him good luck in further activities. At the instance of the Ambassador the Armenian Speaker briefed him with the constitutional changes being implemented in Armenia, the legislative process over preparation of the referendum and fulfillment of Armenia's commitments assumed when being admitted to the Council of Europe. Summing up the outcomes of his work in Armenia, Antonios Vlavianos noted with satisfaction the fruitful cooperation with Armenian authorities. Emphasizing the importance of successful constitutional changes, he noted the huge role the Armenian Parliament had played in strengthening democracy. In the course of the meeting matters referring to November visit of Greek Speaker Anna Psarouda-Benaki to Armenia on the invitation of A. Baghdassaryan.
