Sumgait pogroms 25th anniv. commemorated in Brussels

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Cause Bureau and Hayas Student Union held a protest rally outside Azerbaijani embassy in Belgium to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Sumgait pogroms.

The Feb 27 rally participants marched to the memorial of Armenian Genocide victims in the central Brussels. A wreath-laying ceremony attended by Armenian envoy to Belgium Avet Adonts and Armenia’s representative to NATO Armen Yedigaryan, among others, was followed by a memorial service.

The St. Mary Magdalene Armenian church will host a liturgy in commemoration of the innocent victims of Sumgait pogroms on Sunday, March 3.
