Armenian IPAP Representation Document rated as best

PanARMENIAN.Net - The sitting of the inter-departmental commission on the Armenia-NATO Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP) is being held in Yerevan today. The proposals put forward after the presentation of the Armenian IPAP program are being discussed. The other day head of the RA Foreign Ministry department for armament control and international security Arman Hakobian stated that the Armenian IPAP Representation Document was rated as the best among those presented so far. To remind, June 10 Armenian Defense Minister Serge Sargsyan handed the Armenian IPAP Representation Document and RA President's letter to NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer. June 16 Armenian Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian in the presence of the NATO Secretary General officially presented the Representation Document to the NATO Council and responded to the Ambassadors' questions. He stated that the efficient implementation of the IPAP will bring the Armenia-NATO relations to a specifically new level. He also informed that Armenia intends to hold permanent consultations with NATO on the foreign security policy and the reformation of the Armenian defense structure with the assistance of the NATO member-states and by their example.
