Armenia to open embassy in Vatican

PanARMENIAN.Net - Government approved President Serzh Sargsyan’s draft decree to open Armenian embassy in Vatican.

As deputy foreign minister Shavarsh Kocharyan said, the establishment of the embassy will signal a new stage in bilateral relations.

In this context, he said the diplomatic relations with Vatican were stepped up back in 1992, with the city-state recognizing the Armenian Genocide in 2000.

The government further approved the draft decree to establish Armenian embassy in Vietnam.
