  Armenia to open embassy in Vatican  March 7, 2013 - 12:01 AMTPanARMENIAN.Net - Government approved President Serzh Sargsyan’s draft decree to open Armenian embassy in Vatican. As deputy foreign minister Shavarsh Kocharyan said, the establishment of the embassy will signal a new stage in bilateral relations. In this context, he said the diplomatic relations with Vatican were stepped up back in 1992, with the city-state recognizing the Armenian Genocide in 2000. The government further approved the draft decree to establish Armenian embassy in Vietnam. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution. President of the Armenian parliament Alen Simonyan met with the Speaker of the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova.
