Greece Ready To Promote Fulfillment of Armenia's IPAP CommitmentsOctober 6, 2005 - 17:44 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian President Robert Kocharian yesterday met with Greek National Defense Minister Spilios Spiliotopoulos, reported the Press Service of the Armenian leader. Having noted that a good tradition of efficient cooperation has been formed between the defense departments of the two countries, R. Kocharian said he was sure it would continue in the future. «Greece and Armenia are allied countries and partners,» the Armenian President stated. He indicated the importance of development of Armenian-Greek bilateral relations, as well as Armenia-Greece cooperation within the NATO and EU. He noted with content that Armenian peacekeepers, who fulfill their mission in Kosovo as part of the Greek contingent, prove their worth. Along with the material and technical assistance provided to the Armed Forces of Armenia, Greece is ready to promote fulfillment of Armenia's commitments within the NATO Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP), stated the Head of the Greek MOD. In his words, Kocharian's impending visit to Greece in November will be another stimulus for further development of bilateral relations.
