Levon Aronian to participate in Alekhine Chess Memorial

PanARMENIAN.Net - On April 21-May 1, French Louvre and Russian museum in St. Petersburg will host Alekhine Chess Memorial, with Armenian grandmaster Levon Aronian to participate.

Aronian’s contenders have been announced as follows: Vishy Anand (India), Vladimir Kramnik (Russia), Peter Svidler (Russia), Nikita Vitiugov (Russia), Boris Gelfand (Israel), Maxime Vachier-Lagrave (France), Laurent Fressinet (France), Michael Adams (England) and Ding Liren (China).

The players will compete in a round-robin, with the first five rounds to be played in Paris, chess-news.ru reported.
