Police hinder Hovannisian supporters’ attempts to put up tent

PanARMENIAN.Net - Heritage leader, former presidential candidate Raffi Hovannisian’s supports are trying to put up a tent in Yerevan’s Liberty Square, with police officers noting the move unauthorized.

Heritage spokesman Hovsep Khurshudyan is currently negotiating with policemen, who urge for the municipality’s permission.

Mr Khurshudyan said they were granted the human rights defender’s permission to put a tent in the square.

MPs Zaruhi Postanjyan, Nikol Pashinyan , Tevan Poghosyan and Ruben Hakobyan are currently at Liberty Square.

Raffi Hovannisian went on hunger strike on Sunday, March 10.
