Baku Keeps on Radio Diversions against Nagorno Karabakh

PanARMENIAN.Net - "Azerbaijan continues to pose artificial obstacles to block broadcasting in the regions adjacent to Nagorno Karabakh. It is especially felt in Mardakert and Askeran regions," Artsakhkap CJSC Executive Director Suren Mirzoyan stated. He characterized Azerbaijan's actions as air hooliganism and called upon the international community to urge Azerbaijan to stop infringing the rights of Karabakh citizens to receive information. "Radio diversions of various kinds have been continuing for 3 years already. The Azeri party deliberately broadcasts on the same frequencies with us. We change frequencies, however the neighbor state watches our activities and tries to impede them", Suren Mirzoyan said.

At that Artsakhkap Executive Director noted that Nagorno Karabakh is ready to present the proofs of the radio hooliganism to the interested international structures. "We do not wish to become similar to Azerbaijan, so we refrain from adequate measures though we possess the technical possibilities to undertake such. Moreover we are ready to consider any debatable issue with our Azeri colleagues. Our purpose is to secure normal quality transmission throughout our republic," Suren Mirzoyan stated. However he did not rule out that Azerbaijan will keep hindering the air and in this case Artsakhkap will undertake measures to protect the right of Karabakh citizens.
